Remaining mysteries / FAQ
Before your group enters
A little practical certainty leaves more room for fictional uncertainty. Start with the format, the access requirements and the way your group will communicate.
Nine things worth knowing
What is an interactive digital escape room?
It is a bounded online puzzle experience in which players investigate evidence and solve connected tasks toward a story objective. It may be self-guided or hosted.
Is every online escape room a live video call?
No. Formats include browser games, downloadable documents, live hosted sessions and remote-avatar rooms where a host explores a physical space for your group.
Do we need previous puzzle experience?
Not necessarily. Choose a beginner-friendly experience with a clear hint system. Check for specialist knowledge requirements rather than assuming every room is self-contained.
Can everyone play on a phone?
Only if the provider supports it. Documents, multiple windows and shared-screen controls may require a desktop or tablet. Check device and browser requirements before booking.
How many people should join?
Follow the provider’s recommended group size. More people do not automatically mean better collaboration, especially when everyone depends on one shared screen.
Are hints a sign that we have failed?
No. Hints are a pacing and support mechanism. Check whether they are staged, whether they have penalties and how to request them before the session.
How can we check accessibility?
Ask about keyboard access, readable documents, captions, transcripts, colour-dependent clues and time limits. Describe the access requirement without feeling obliged to disclose a diagnosis.
What should we do if someone disconnects?
Use the provider’s rejoining instructions and the group’s agreed communication channel. Confirm whether progress is shared or stored per device before refreshing or reopening a session.
Does safariquveli.forum host games or publish solutions?
No. This is an independent informational website about design and participation. We do not host escape rooms, handle bookings or publish walkthroughs of commercial experiences.
A question we have not covered?
Ask about a design principle, suggest a correction or tell us which practical issue needs a clearer explanation. Please leave commercial puzzle answers out of your message.
