Cookies and browser storage
Effective 1 January 2026
Browser storage is different from a message being sent. This notice explains the distinction and the behaviour of the site’s own pages and tools.
What cookies and local storage do
Cookies are small pieces of information a website can ask your browser to retain and return with later requests. Local storage retains information within a browser for an origin without automatically attaching it to every page request. Both can support useful functions, and both require appropriate consideration of privacy and applicable consent rules.
Browser caching is another mechanism: your browser may retain copies of page files or images to avoid downloading them repeatedly. Cached files do not by themselves mean that an advertising profile has been created.
No advertising or analytics scripts
The editorial pages and their accompanying script do not set advertising cookies, run third-party analytics, embed social trackers or save contact drafts in localStorage or sessionStorage. They do not require an account. Navigation expansion, explanation controls and section animations operate without persistent storage.
Hosting infrastructure may process technical requests for delivery and security, as described in the privacy notice. A technical request or server log is not the same as a browser cookie.
If optional storage technologies are introduced, information about their purposes, providers and duration must be supplied and consent obtained before use where legally required. Non-essential technologies should not be enabled merely because a visitor continues reading.
Clipboard and download behaviour
The contact composer keeps its current draft in page memory. The site does not intentionally preserve the draft between visits, although your browser may independently restore form values. Reloading or leaving the page can discard your work.
Copy requests permission to place the draft on your clipboard. Clipboard contents may remain available to your device or other applications according to their permissions. Download creates a text file that you control. Neither action sends the draft to us or stores it in a website account.
Manage storage in your browser
You can inspect and clear site data through your browser’s privacy or site-settings controls. Browser help explains how to manage cookies, cached files, local storage and clipboard permissions. Deleting a downloaded draft or clearing copied text is a separate device action.
External websites you choose to visit may use their own cookies and storage. Review their notices before using their services. Blocking optional storage should not prevent you from reading these editorial guides.
